I began harvesting the sweet corn planted early September. Wow it's soft and sweet and great straight off the stem without cooking - a marked difference from corn I'm used to from Woollies.

Have been harvesting lots of beans already got lots of seeds for next year and to give away. The beans have been an great discovery for me the taste great raw and cooked. They fix lots of nitrogen to the soil and provide great ground cover for the soil, protecting it from the blazing sun and leaching rain. Its great to see the Roma tomatoes doing well and now producing some small fruit. I haven't provided any shelter but they look great be interesting to see how they develope.

My Japoticatia tree has benifited from the recent rain and composted chicken manure, it's full of fruit I've never seen it as full.
What I thought was grass amongst the beans turned out to be ginger I planted 5 months ago. I relocated it to a shady spot with lots of compost seems to be doing OK.

The Chinese Snake cucumber is climbing on the fence and producing lots of yellow flowers no fruit yet. The perenial capsicum is still small but steady looks a lot like tomato seedlings.
I've planted some golden supreme corn that tolerates heat better than the sweet. I went in about mid September looks OK still only 40cm.
I've also planted some marigold flowers early september that are about to flower.
