Egg Plant Not fruiting?

I heard about someone having a problem with her egg plant producing lots of flower but no fruit.
This could be caused by a couple of things the usual problem is lack of water - but being so wet lately in North Queensland probably not.
The 2nd main cause is pollination egg plants are mainly pollinated by wind but insects also play a role. Because it's been so wet wind pollination is difficult.
The problem could be solved by using a small brush to hand pollinate just brush inside each flower pollinating by hand and see how that goes. Incidentally this can also be used effectively on pumpkins.
It may also be a PH problem in the tropics to acidic. This inhibits the plants ability to absorb nutrients in the soil try sprinkling a couple of hand fulls of dolomite.
